Minerva Enterprises continues to transform and currently specializes in heirloom quality custom as well as refinished Mid Century and Scandinavian furniture. In today’s throw-away society driven by extreme consumerism, the furniture market is flooded with cheap, disposable, mass-produced items. My mission is to create or preserve beautiful, durable pieces of furniture that families would be proud to pass down through generations.

Our Story

Minerva Enterprises, LLC was founded in January 2019. Inspired by the birth of my daughter, Minerva, and with the support of my wife, Elizabeth, I found courage to leave my corporate management job and pursue my passion as a woodworker. My goal is to build a business that epitomizes strong work ethics, craftsmanship, and a sincere way of life. I want to demonstrate to my daughter that she is able to free herself from social chains that restrict her from seeking happiness, as long as she is ready to put in hard work and dedication. I hope that Minerva will grow up to be proud of her namesake company and feel empowered to chase after her own way of life, as I am doing through Minerva Enterprises.

About Graham Michael, Maker

Born and raised in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, I grew up among generations of masons and makers. At an early age, I learned the fruits and joy of working with my hands. I started making things when I was younger and through my 20’s mostly because I could not afford to buy nice things. I earned my work ethic while spending summers working as a mason laborer for my uncle. Just being surrounded by craftsmen, I learned to appreciate artistry and became passionate about advancing my skills.

Still, my path to becoming a woodworker was not a straight one. After completing my bachelor’s degree in finance at Drexel University, I enlisted in the military and commissioned as an Army Officer. I served for 8 years, moved to 4 different states and 3 different countries, and deployed once to Afghanistan. It was a great opportunity that allowed me to travel the world, explore various cultural aesthetics, and develop my own taste in art and design. After separating from the Army as a captain, I briefly worked in managerial positions in the IT industry, until I finally decided to make woodworking a full-time job. I hope to incorporate these leadership experiences and professional perspectives in building Minerva Enterprises.
